Unhurriedly
I saw a cloud today.
It looked all set to rain.
But just as I sat
by the window to watch,
It slowly vanished away.
I wished for a while
for it to stay.
So I could wrap it in a tight embrace.
But just as I was
to sing it a song,
It slowly vanished away.
I loved it way more than I can convey.
It wasn’t just beauty, it was sheer grace.
But before I could etch
that scene in my mind,
It slowly vanished away.
Surely I’ll see that cloud
on another day.
Maybe here, or some other place.
But today before
I could utter a word,
It slowly vanished away.
