Living in the moment isn’t easy.
Often I’ve to sit through several moments when not much happens and
wait, camera in hand, to capture just one.
A dew drop falling off a banana leaf,
A butterfly landing on a spider lily,
A train passing by, visible only through the trees.
The dusk waltzing through my glasses – the edge of its frame glistening.
Carpe Punctum! But how??
How do I seize these moments (the ones I didn’t capture).
Ok listen. So today as I walked to work in the dark,
I looked up and saw the most gorgeous moon.
I wanted to capture it for you.
A picture? A call? Maybe I’ll just say hi, I’m thinking of you.
Just then I felt a drop of rain. And then another.
I stood a while, drenched in a moment I couldn’t capture.
